TENTATIVE FLEETWIND SKI SCHEDULE FOR THE 2008 - 2009 SEASON

First Ski Trip of the Season! Thanksgiving in Vail! (Nov. 26-30) $839 (space limited) - Start off the ski season by skiing Vail for Thanksgiving! Includes air (United Airlines ORD), 4 nights lodging at the Vail Spa Condos by the gondola, (3brs/3baths at 6 per unit), ground transportation, pot luck Thanksgiving Dinner, hill top wine/cheese/fondue party, and 3-day lift tickets. Dec 12 - 14 Drive Up Yourself Weekend Getaway! Either drive up to our old standby Tyrol Basin, WI or we may have a new destination in the mix, Chestnut Mt. We are considering staying in downtown Dubuque, Iowa where a new land based casino is being built next to the existing Riverboat Casino. We can ski either Sundance in Iowa or Chestnut Mountain in Illinois. Non-skiers and skiers alike can entertain themselves in quaint Galena, IL. Stay tuned for further updates. Either destination is about a 4-hour drive from Chicago.

Dec 30 - Jan 4 New Years Trip to Frisco, CO. Stay in condos and move around in vans to access the ski areas that honor the Vail Resorts Epic Pass. That would include the ski areas of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin. Price includes air, 5 nights of lodging in Frisco, and ground transportation. We are shooting to price this trip just under $900 and this does not include lift tickets.

Jan 18 - Jan 25 Martin Luther King Holiday Week to Winter Park, CO $700 -$775!!! Pricing depends on whether you take the plane or Amtrak. Price includes air or train transport, and ground transportation to the condos, 5 days of lift tickets, and 5 nights lodging in Fraser, CO. You can purchase an extra half-day lift ticket for $39.

Feb 14 - Feb 22 Presidents Day Holiday Week to Revelstoke, BC Canada. Never heard of Revelstoke? You will! This is Canada's new jewel at a value price! Revelstoke is currently upgrading their facilities to include an expanded gondola and a new high-speed chairlift that will bring 900 new acres of skiable terrain for intermediate skiers as well as 300 new acres for the advanced skier! With the extension of the gondola Revelstoke will have the longest lift-serviced vertical descent in North America at 5,620 feet. Their longest run is 9.5 miles. They also have cat and heli skiing right at the resort. They boast an average annual snowfall of 40 to 60 feet. We are shooting for a price under $1,500. This would include 7 nights of lodging, air, ground transportation to and from Calgary, and 6 days of lift tickets at Revelstoke. Optional 2 day extension of this trip on the front end is being arranged for those who get the Lincoln's Birthday holiday on Thursday, Feb 12. This then would include 2 extra days of skiing at Kicking Horse.

Feb 27 - March 7 Week in Breckenridge, CO. Leave late Friday night from O'Hare and return better than a week later on Saturday night to get in the maximum amount of skiing. For those of you who get the Pulaski Day holiday on Monday, March 2, this is ideal! Take advantage again of the Vail Resorts Epic Pass. You can ski Breckenridge as well as Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin. We are shooting for a price under $1,250. This includes 7 nights of lodging right off the main street of Breckenridge in 2 bedroom condos that can comfortably sleep 6 and more, all the way up to 10 in some instances! This is ideal for families. There are some 3-bedroom condos available that can sleep up to 8 comfortably. Air as well as ground transportation to the Breckenridge condos is included. While in Breckenridge you can take the free express shuttle to Keystone that takes 45 minutes. You can arrange to pay for transportation to Vail. Last year the scheduled bus service to Vail was $20 round trip from Breckenridge. You have all kinds of flexibility. If you are a teacher or local government employee and have that Monday holiday, you can return to Chicago late Monday night for a price under $750 at this writing. You will have 3 days of skiing, 3 nights of lodging, and you won't miss a day of work. These prices do not include lift tickets, but they can be arranged on a group basis if we have the numbers.

March 21 - March 28 Lake Tahoe's South Shore. Take advantage again of the Epic Pass and have unlimited skiing at Heavenly. Walk to the casinos as well as the gondola to Heavenly. Pricing to be arranged.

April 2 - April 7 Jackson Hole. We have a 5-night trip that wraps around the Palm Sunday weekend preceding Easter. Jackson Hole plans to have a new gondola for the upcoming ski season! Experience something new! Pricing to be determined.

May 20 - May 25 Memorial Day Extended Weekend at Arapahoe Basin, CO. Ski most of 5 days with your Epic Pass. Enjoy the new Montezuma Back Bowl as well as updated lifts. Stay in Keystone 5 nights. Pricing to be determined.
